Why a term beats a taster
Six weeks builds surfers
Weekly repetition is how kids actually learn to surf: same coach, same crew, skills compounding session on session. By week six the timid ones paddle themselves into waves and the confident ones are turning. ISA qualified instructors, first aid trained, police checked, target ratios of no more than 1:6, every week of the term.

After school FAQ
How does the term work?
One coached session a week for six weeks, straight after school or a Saturday morning, with the same crew and coach so skills stack fast. Orewa $229, Christchurch $199, Mangawhai $199.
What ages can join?
School years, ages 6 to 18, grouped by age and ability so the little groms and the teens each get their own pace.
What if my kid has never surfed?
Perfect starting point. Week one assumes nothing; week six assumes quite a lot.
Which terms does it run?
After school surfing is available in terms 1 and 4, occasionally term 2. When booking, choose your term, day and time of the week.
Missed sessions?
Terms fill fast and it's practically impossible to do make up lessons, so do your very best to make your sessions. Talk to the coach; any catch up will usually need to be at a day and time that isn't full, so we keep to our safety ratios.
Do they need their own gear?
No. Boards and wetsuits are included every session, though kids with their own gear are welcome to bring it.
What is the cancellation policy?
5 days notice for a full refund, or reschedule free of charge. Full terms are shown at checkout.
