The Surf Experience from $425 pp is the flexible 2, 3 or 5 night version for solo travellers and crews. Couples Surf & Stay from $395 pp is built for two, and Family Surf & Stay from $425 pp sleeps 4 to 5. Same inclusions, sized to your crew, with options for 3 or 5 night stays, which is great because you get to use all the gear for your whole stay!

Te Arai Eco Pods for unparalleled ocean view pods and glamping teepees on a tranquil hillside. Mangawhai Surf Lodge for rooms named after the local breaks in the heart of Mangawhai Heads, with an easy walk to the shops. One general rule: if you want to walk 2 minutes to the shops, the Surf Lodge is a good choice. Amazing property with a waterslide, then Te Arai.

Not at all. Coaching is matched to your level from first wave to first green face, with ISA qualified instructors and Qualmark GOLD systems behind it. Beginners, progressors and those who have never surfed before are all catered for.

The Surf Experience runs 2, 3 or 5 nights and is fully customisable. Couples and family packages are also 2, 3 or 5 night options.

Bring your own vehicle; stays do not include transfers. Both venues are about an hour north of Auckland with free parking on site.

Both venues have full kitchens and BBQ areas for self catering, and the Mangawhai village and Heads cafes and takeaways are minutes away. Camps and tours include meals. Surf & Stays leave the menu to you.

14 or more days out: reschedule or refund. Under 14 days: reschedule or a 12 month credit. Under 7 days: no refund. Bookings over 20 Dec to 20 Jan are non refundable, however with notice a credit for 12 months is available. Full terms are shown at checkout.
