A day on program
Surf, snack, repeat
Mornings run 9am to 1pm: two coached surf sessions in age-and-ability groups, with ocean safety, wave reading and beach games in between. Instructors are ISA qualified, first aid trained and police checked, at target ratios of no more than 1:6, running since 2002 under Qualmark GOLD.
Booking Christmas or January? That season belongs to the 3 day Kids Summer Surf Program, a shorter daily session across three consecutive days. Kids who catch the bug graduate to Ultimate Surf Camp (8 to 15, overnight) or after school surfing through the term.

Holiday program FAQ
What are the hours and dates?
9am to 1pm across 2 or 4 day blocks in every school holidays: April, July, September to October and December, at Orewa, Mangawhai and Christchurch.
Do they need surf experience?
No. Groups split by age and ability, from never surfed to holiday regulars chasing green waves.
What do they actually do all morning?
Two coached surf sessions a day with ocean safety, wave reading and beach games in between. Home by early afternoon, tired in the best way.
2 days or 4?
Two days gets a first timer standing and stoked. Four days is where real progression happens: eight coached sessions with the same instructors across one holidays.
What do kids bring?
Togs, towel, lunch, water bottle and some warm clothes. Boards and wetsuits are ours, or bring your own if you want to.
How is this different from the Kids Summer Surf Program?
Holiday programs run half days with two lessons a day in every school break. The Kids Summer Surf Program is three consecutive 90 minute mornings, Boxing Day to late January only, ideal for the summer holiday break.
What about bad weather?
Whilst we run rain or shine, instructors adjust the day or reschedule sessions. Safety calls are always ours to make and always final.
What is the cancellation policy?
5 days notice for a full refund, or reschedule free of charge. Full terms are shown at checkout.
